My name is Craig Sherwood and I am the owner of Mitten Environmental LLC. While my company has been based out of Kalamazoo, Michigan since 2016, I still spend about half my year in the Mojave Desert. In the Mojave I primarily work with the federally protected desert tortoise as well as the ravens who prey upon the charismatic reptiles.

The other half of the year, I reside at home in Michigan (the Mitten State) working on projects involving herpetofauna, UAVs, and invasive species. I am passionate about protecting our natural world and finding novel, collaborative solutions to the problems facing it.
